Intuit was redesigning their intranet and asked us to explore how they could use technology to further their collaborative culture. We asked employees to keep a journal of intranet usage, then interviewed them to identify opportunities to better support their work processes. Using what we learned about how employees were locating expertise and sharing work, we recommended areas for immediate improvement and created a brief for a comprehensive redesign of the site's navigation, features, and content.
