Great piece! I hadn’t seen it since I’ve been down in Irvine. It really captured that empty feeling I got when my email box evaporated in spring of 2002, losing some really precious logged messages.

His photos were backed up; but all the related meta-data — descriptions, comments, tags, friend connections, etc. — were lost.
