Sign from Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Economic Affairs, in the Taipei airport
The sign reads:
Post only authorized images, music, videos, or writings on your blog, or you could be blogging your way into court! Today’s user is tomorrow’s right owner. Respect others’ intellectual properly rights.
Even before clearing immigration in Taipei, there’s an intellectual property warning for bloggers. Is this really such a big problem? I’d expect them to worry more about CD and DVD piracy first.

ha ha… This sign is funnny. “Blogging” the new threat facing humanity!
Here in Hong Kong, newspapers actually steal content from bloggers and publish it as their own. Maybe Hong Kong should create a sign that warns professionals to respect bloggers and post it at the immigration…
Comment by Nicolas 01.21.08 @ 11:34 pmWe just watched the film Yi Yi, set in Taipei, and one plot thread involves copycat software, with endless comments about how good the Taiwanese are at copying stuff. So really, of all places to target bloggers!!!
