New York Times article about the spy photographers who look for test models of new cars.

This is how Ms. Priddy spends most of her workdays: Lying in wait until she can snap a picture that no one else has, one that she can then sell to magazines or Web sites for hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
But this photographer isn’t after pictures of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck nuzzling or Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt squabbling. For her, the “get” is a photo of a new car out on a test run months before it is unveiled to the public.
